RULES
PAYMENT/SUBMISSIONS
-Submissions and payment are available through PayPal
-Entry fees are non-refundable. Refunds will not be issued for any reason.
-No web series substitutions (i.e., switching out a previously submitted web series with another web series you produce) will be considered after entry. However, if you have produced further episodes since intial entry, we will look at these episodes (up until the late deadline).
PARTICIPATION
-All content submitters must be 18 years of age or older. However, actors starring in your web series may be younger.
-Submissions must be the intellectual property of the submitter, and/or their team. No proxy submissions.
-Payment and entry form must BOTH be submitted. Allowances will not be given for those who submit the entry form without payment. If we have not received your payment, you are not entered. If you have not submitted payment, and the entry fee has changed since you submitted your entry form, you will be paying the higher entry fee.
GUIDELINES (NEW FOR 2013)
-Submission must have at least TWO (2) produced episodes available to view at time of entry. Any submission with only ONE (1) produced episode is ineligible.
-Episodes can be of any length, but the episode you choose to screen at the festival must fall under the category for which you submitted it (Short Form-under 10 minutes, Long Form-over 10 minutes).
-All 2012 award winners must have produced at least ONE new episode since March 31/2012 in order to be reconsidered for the awards they previously won. If you choose to submit your web series again without producing any new episodes, you will only be eligible for awards you did not win in 2012.
-If you submitted in 2012 (whether you were accepted or not), and did not win an award, you can resubmit for 2013 without producing any new episodes.
-You will be asked to classify your web series under a genre category. We will review your submission to make sure that it is classified correctly (i.e. saying your horror series is actually a comedy). Please choose the genre that best represents your series. We understand many series can be classified under more than genre, so pick what you think is best. We will contact you if we have any clarification questions.
-Absolutely no pornography. Sexual situations are alright, but we will not accept any content featuring explicit sexual acts or situations.
-Employees or agents of HollyWeb Festival and their immediate families, or those persons living in the same household of such individuals are ineligible to receive any awards.
-Any project that was worked on in any capacity, by any of the aforementioned persons is also ineligible for awards.
-Entries that are not originally in English, must either be dubbed in English or have English subtitles.
-HollyWeb Festival reserves the right to amend selection criteria.
