-You may submit multiple series for consideration, but each series needs to have its own submission form and respective payment.

-Submissions must be the intellectual property of the submitter, and/or their team. No proxy submissions.
-Payment and entry form must BOTH be submitted. Allowances will not be given for those who submit the entry form without payment. If we have not received your payment, you are not entered. Any submissions that have not sent payment within 24 hours, will be deleted.
-Digital Series submissions must have at least TWO (2) produced episodes available to view at time of entry. Any submission with only ONE (1) produced episode is ineligible.
-Episodes can be of any length, but the episode you choose to screen at the festival must fall under the category for which you submitted it (Short Form-under 10 minutes, Long Form-over 10 minutes, but under 20 minutes).
-Short Form series may screen up to TWO episodes, provided the combined running time is no longer than 10
-Long Form series may only screen ONE episode, with a running time no longer than 20 minutes. Please DO NOT
edit together multiple shorter episodes to create one longer episode.
-Digital Pilot submissions must be a single episode, with the intent to produce future episodes. If you have already produced more than 1 episode, you should submit as a Digital Series.
-Short Form pilots may screen up to 10 minutes of content
-Long Form pilots may screen up to 22 minutes of content
-If you provide us with an episode that has a run time longer than your category allows, you automatically give HollyWeb Festival the right to edit down the episode so it meets the category standard. You forfeit all rights to approve the re-cut episode before screening.
-All previous award winners must have produced at least TWO (2) new episodes since they won their respective award (this will be checked) in order to be reconsidered for the awards they previously won. If you choose to submit your web series again without producing any new episodes, you will only be eligible for awards you did not win in previous years.
-If you submitted in previous years (whether you were accepted or not), and did not win an award, you can resubmit for 2020 without producing any new episodes.
-You will be asked to classify your series under a genre category. We will review your submission to make sure that it is classified correctly (i.e. saying your horror series is actually a comedy). Please choose the genre that best represents your series. We will contact you if we have any clarification questions.
-Best Series Trailer award must submit online link to trailer. Recipient of Best Series Trailer award will see their trailer screened at our awards venue on 4/2/2017, and receive a HollyWeb trophy. There are no screenings of trailers during the regularly scheduled programming throughout the weekend at our screening venue.
-Only series that become Official Selections will be notified of their selection status.
-Absolutely no pornography. Sexual situations and nudity are okay, but we will not accept any content featuring explicit sexual acts or situations.
-Employees or agents of HollyWeb Festival and their families, or those persons living in the same household of such individuals are ineligible to receive any awards.
-Entries that are not originally in English, must either be dubbed in English or have English subtitles. Subtitles are preferred.
-HollyWeb Festival reserves the right to amend selection criteria.
-Festival applicants must accept all decisions made by the HollyWeb Festival team. Decisions are final.
-We do not enact any "festival exclusivity" clauses. You are free to submit your series to whichever festivals you so choose.
-All federal, local and state laws apply. Entry void where prohibited by law.
-By participating in the HollyWeb Festival, each participant agrees to release and hold HollyWeb Festival and the employees, directors, volunteers and representatives of the HollyWeb Festival, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the event or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize.
-By submitting, you are agreeing that you own or are authorized to use all the rights to both the music and video(s) contained in your web series. HollyWeb Festival will not be held responsible for any claims stemming from the failure of the creator and/or submitter to properly obtain the rights to the material you submit and/or screen.
-No series/pilot withdrawals will be accepted after Official Selections are announced in mid-February. This is to protect the integrity of our screening schedule. If an Official Selection pulls out, they have subsequently compromised our screening schedule, and it is too late for us to admit another series/pilot in their place. By submitting your series/pilot to HollyWeb, you agree to screen your content if selected as an Official Selection, regardless of any other festival status or selection.
-You agree for us to use the name of your series in addition to video and audio clips for awards presentations, highlight reels, and HollyWeb Festival promotional material.
-Screenings and prizes are subject to change at any time.
-Official Selections must screen in order to be eligible to receive awards.
-Best International Series award is open to content originating from any country other than the United States of America
-If award recipient is not based out of the United States, any prize money will be sent to them via PayPal, to the e-mail address used to submit the web series (unless provided with an alternate address). Money will be converted into funds of their respective country at the prevailing exchange rate.
-If award recipient is not on hand to receive trophy, they are solely responsible for any and all shipment costs of receiving the trophy and/or prizes from HollyWeb Festival. Trophy and/or prize shipments will also be subject to a $100.00 USD service charge regardless of shipping destination or method.
-By entering, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of HollyWeb Festival, which shall be final.
